Job Summary:
We are looking for a capable Van Assistant/General Worker to support in the safe and efficient loading, transportation, and delivery of FMCG products to customers and retail stores. This role also involves general warehouse and logistics duties with a focus on stock accuracy and maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery and Transportation Support:
- Assist with loading and offloading FMCG products.
- Ensure careful handling to prevent damage.
- Check products against delivery notes.
- Obtain customer signatures when required.
- Report any stock discrepancies.
- Receive, check, and organise stock.
- Pick, pack, and prepare products for dispatch.
- Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse.
- Follow FIFO principles.
- Handle perishable products according to standards.
- Identify and report damaged items
- Comply with health and safety procedures.
- Report any unsafe conditions.
- Protect company stock and property.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 /Matric
- Previous experience in a similar role advantageous.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
