We are seeking a Legal / Compliance / Risk Officer to join our dynamic legal team. This role blends legal advisory work with regulatory interpretation, compliance oversight, and enterprise risk awareness – core pillars of a well-governed organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
- Interpret and monitor legislation including FSCA regulations, FICA, FAIS, tax law, and retirement fund law
- Draft and review contracts, legal opinions, and internal policies
- Support the compliance function with legal interpretation and control implementation
- Identify and manage legal and operational risks
- Liaise with regulators, external counsel, and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to strong corporate governance and an ethical risk culture
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor of Law (LLB)
- Admitted Attorney
- 3–8 years’ post-article experience (top-tier law firm)
- Solid background in commercial law and litigation
- Exposure to tax law or retirement fund regulation advantageous
- Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- High levels of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
