Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced and hands-on Factory Manager to oversee Plant operations.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric essential
• A diploma or certificate in Production, Operations, Manufacturing Management, Engineering or a related field will be advantageous
• 5 Years’ experience in manufacturing or production
• 2 Years’ experience in a supervisory or management role
• Experience managing multiple production departments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and production or ERP systems
• Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or ISO 9001 training will be advantageous
• Valid drivers license

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily and weekly production plans to ensure targets and delivery deadlines are achieved
• Coordinate workflow between the Wood, Powder Coating and Assembly departments
• Manage and hold supervisors accountable for production, quality, labour and safety performance
• Monitor productivity, labour utilisation, absenteeism and overtime
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
• Monitor quality issues, rework and non-conformances
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, PPE and housekeeping requirements
• Oversee equipment availability, maintenance requirements, materials and tooling
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste and increase productivity
• Report on operational performance and escalate significant risks to management
