Site Engineer - Construction

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee construction activities in Randburg . This role is critical for ensuring that construction projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the specified quality standards. You will be responsible for interpreting engineering designs, managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with project plans and schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong practical knowledge of construction methods and materials, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of site safety and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans and timelines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction schedules, and translate them into site operations.
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure all work meets specified standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction supervision role.
• Proven experience in managing site operations for building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and best practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
