Internal Sales Rep - Durban

Our client is seeking an experienced Internal Sales Representative to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the sanitaryware industry, extensive product knowledge, and previous retail showroom experience. Strong sales ability, excellent customer service skills, and good computer and communication skills are essential for success in this role. The successful candidate must be willing to work weekends and public holidays and demonstrate excellent timekeeping, a strong work ethic, and a reliable attendance record.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the sanitaryware industry.
• Extensive product knowledge of sanitaryware.
• Retail showroom experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong sales ability.
• Proficiency in MS Office and computer skills.
• Above-average verbal and written English communication skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent timekeeping, a strong work ethic, and a good attendance record.

DUTIES:

• Provide efficient and effective service to all customers visiting the store.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional and friendly service.
• Understand customers’ project requirements and recommend suitable products.
• Provide customers with the necessary application and technical information regarding the sanitaryware product range.
• Guide customers through complete bathroom solutions rather than focusing on individual products.
• Apply sales and marketing techniques to encourage purchases, upselling, and the promotion of additional products.
• Process customer orders and explain the relevant procedures, including payment at the cashier, delivery arrangements, and dispatch.
• Conduct telesales and follow up on outstanding orders, quotations, and PIKs (Picking Lists).

HOURS:

• Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
• Saturdays: 08:00 – 15:00
• Alternate Sundays: 09:00 – 14:00, with one weekday off in lieu for each Sunday worked.
• Public Holidays: 09:00 – 14:00 (overtime).
