Strategic Sourcing Talent

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their procurement leadership team in Randburg . This role is instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, mitigate risk, and ensure the supply of critical goods and services. You will lead complex sourcing initiatives, build strong supplier relationships, and collaborate across departments to align procurement activities with business objectives. This is a high-impact position for an experienced procurement professional who can leverage market insights and analytical rigor to achieve significant value for the organization, working within a hybrid model that balances collaboration and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for key spend areas to achieve optimal cost, quality, and service levels.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including RFx processes, detailed analysis, and contract negotiations.
• Manage and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance and innovation.
• Conduct thorough market analysis and supplier assessments to identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and drive alignment on sourcing initiatives.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve sourcing methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
• Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and value through sourcing initiatives.
• Expertise in leading complex negotiations and managing large-scale supplier contracts.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CIPS certification is a plus.
