Farm Services Manager - Festive

Festive, one of South African's leading integrated poultry producers within the Astral Group is seeking a Farm Services Manager for their broiler division. The role will focus on planning and controlling of Live Bird operations.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Management of Farm Services teams and planning and controlling of Live Bird operations.
• Managing all labour related issues such as discipline, recruitment, training, time and attendance.
• Maximize production and ensure that work quality is at required standards.
• Managing projects and planning of work schedules.
• Reporting and budget control.
• Managing Risk Control, Occupational Health and Safety, Bio-Security requirements and Standards as per relevant legislation and Astral Standard Operating Practices.
• Responsible for company assets.
• Implementation and maintaining the 20 Keys system.
• Procurement of bedding material for poultry farms.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification.
• A minimum of 5 (five) years’ management experience in the agricultural sector and a logistics background will be an added advantage.
• Technical/Mechanical background advantageous.
• Must be a team player with exceptional leadership skills with the ability to work in a high pressurized environment and be deadline driven.
• Ability to manage staff effectively and must be Computer literate.
• The candidate must have high standards towards housekeeping and attention to detail.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
