Our client, a well-established manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Factory Manager to take full operational responsibility for its production facility in Hazyview. This is a senior-level opportunity suited to a hands-on manufacturing professional with strong leadership, production management and operational excellence experience

Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Any additional tertiary qualifications will be advantageous
• 8 Years of manufacturing and factory management experience
• Proven experience managing Department Managers or Production Managers
• Knowledge of production planning, stock control, waste reduction and quality management
• Understanding of maintenance and labour productivity
• Experience working with KPIs and corrective actions
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen will be advantageous
• Valid drivers license plus own reliable vehicle

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full operational control of the factory and establish clear priorities
• Ensure all departments work together to achieve production plans and customer requirements
• Conduct regular factory-floor inspections and address safety, quality and efficiency issues
• Manage Department Managers through targets, KPIs, accountability and consistent follow-up
• Monitor production output, waste, stock control, efficiency and downtime
• Ensure quality standards are maintained and corrective actions are implemented
• Manage staffing, labour, discipline, training and team development
• Ensure health and safety, housekeeping and 5S standards are maintained
