Job Specification On-Site Service Technician Location: Cape Town, Western Cape Position Summary An established technical services company is seeking an On-Site Service Technician to provide maintenance, installation, repair, and technical support services at a client's site in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, maintaining high service standards, and assisting with preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric Electrical Certificate or Diploma advantageous 1-3 years' experience in an electrical or maintenance environment Experience using hand and power tools Basic fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Valid driver's licence Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on site equipment. Conduct routine inspections and identify potential faults. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. Repair and replace defective components where required. Use power tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Assist with installations, upgrades, and commissioning of equipment. Ensure all work is completed according to company and client safety standards. Complete maintenance reports, service records, and job cards accurately. Maintain housekeeping standards within the work area. Liaise with clients and site personnel professionally. Respond to breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements. Monitor equipment performance and report recurring issues. Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets in good working order. Assist senior technicians and management with technical projects and site requirements.
