Human Resources Executive

HR GENERALIST EXECUTIVE | CAPE TOWN | MANUFACTURING

We are recruiting a true HR generalist who can move seamlessly between strategy, employee relations and the realities of the shop floor.

Our client is an established manufacturer located in Cape Town supplying key retailers, wholesalers and general trade nationally. Reporting to executive leadership, this is a broad, hands‑on generalist role for someone who understands both the commercial demands of the business and the people issues that can make or break performance.

You will engage in strategic HR leadership and operational delivery equally, ensuring that managers are supported, employee relations are handled consistently, and the fundamentals of HR are well controlled.

Your focus will include:

• Leading the full HR generalist function, from workforce planning and recruitment to performance, development and succession.


• Managing employee relations, labour legislation, union matters and CCMA readiness.


• Overseeing payroll governance, remuneration, benefits and HR compliance.


• Strengthening workforce discipline, accountability and management capability.


• Using HR data to identify trends, manage labour costs and drive better decisions.


• Managing audits that make the business a world class manufacturer and meet customer audit requirements

What you’ll bring

At least 8 years’ generalist HR experience, in manufacturing environment, with sound knowledge of South African labour legislation, strong employee relations capability and practical payroll governance experience.

You’re commercially astute, approachable and decisive. You can advise executives, coach line managers and engage credibly with employees, while ensuring that policies, processes and controls translate into action.
