Location: Meyerton, Gauteng
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in the manufacturing industry? Do you have extensive experience in costing, bill of quantities, and manufacturing-related financial processes?
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join a manufacturing business based in Meyerton. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, production costing, and financial administration within a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of bookkeeping experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage financial records accurately while supporting effective cost control and business performance.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements National Diploma or Degree in , , or a related field. 10+ years of bookkeeping experience. Extensive experience within the manufacturing industry is essential. Strong experience in manufacturing costing and cost control. Proven experience working with bills of quantities (BOQs). Solid understanding of production costs, materials, labour, and overhead allocations. Experience with inventory accounting, stock control, and reconciliations. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Manage the full bookkeeping function, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records. Perform day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Conduct regular bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with management accounts. Manage and monitor manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, production expenses, and overheads. Prepare, analyse, and maintain bills of quantities (BOQs) to support accurate costing and pricing. Perform product costing and cost allocation to determine accurate manufacturing costs. Monitor inventory, stock movements, and work-in-progress balances. Investigate costing variances and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency. Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial forecasting. Support month-end and year-end financial processes. Maintain accurate financial documentation and assist with audit requirements. Work closely with production and management teams to ensure accurate costing information and financial control. Skills and Competencies In-depth understanding of manufacturing accounting and bookkeeping. Strong technical knowledge of costing, BOQs, and inventory management. Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Strong analytical and financial problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
