Financial Controller (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Financial Controller to lead their financial operations in a fully remote capacity. This senior position is responsible for the overall management of the finance department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance. You will oversee accounting operations, financial planning, and risk management, playing a critical role in the company's financial health and strategic direction. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced finance leader to manage and execute financial strategies from anywhere, contributing to the success of a forward-thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Manage financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Manage banking relationships and optimize cash flow management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent professional certification is required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a controller or similar senior role.
• Extensive experience with accounting software and ERP systems, demonstrating strong technical proficiency.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS , tax regulations, and corporate finance principles.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing remote teams effectively.
