Shape the tax agenda of a complex, diverse Group

Adcorp Group is looking for an accomplished Head of Tax to take ownership of our Group tax agenda and play an influential role in how we navigate an increasingly complex tax and business environment.

This is not a role focused solely on compliance.

It is an opportunity to shape tax strategy, influence business decisions, strengthen governance and bring commercial thinking to complex tax matters across the Group.

Working closely with senior Finance and business leaders, you’ll be the trusted tax partner behind key decisions, balancing opportunity, risk and compliance while ensuring Adcorp remains well positioned for the future.

The impact you’ll make

You’ll take ownership of the Group’s tax function and:

• Shape and execute the Adcorp Tax Strategy
• Provide trusted tax advice to senior Finance and business leaders
• Identify opportunities to optimise the Group’s tax position while maintaining strong governance
• Influence the tax approach to strategic projects, transactions and business decisions
• Advise on appropriate tax structures and manage tax risk across the Group
• Oversee corporate income tax, VAT, PAYE and tax accounting
• Lead engagements with SARS and other revenue authorities
• Oversee tax audits, assessments and disputes
• Navigate local and international tax matters and transfer pricing
• Anticipate legislative changes and translate them into meaningful business implications
• Strengthen tax controls, systems, processes and the overall tax operating model
• Lead and develop the Group tax team

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical tax expertise with commercial judgement, leadership and the confidence to influence at a senior level.

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Law
• Professional certifications or further tax qualifications would be advantageous
• A minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience in taxation, including tax accounting
• Strong experience across direct tax, international tax and VAT
• Sound knowledge of tax legislation, compliance and reporting
• Strong tax planning, risk management and transaction-structuring capability
• The ability to navigate complex tax matters and provide commercially considered advice
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
