About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Engineer with a focus on Facility Design and Layout Optimization to join their team in East London . This role is essential for planning, designing, and reconfiguring manufacturing facilities and production areas to maximize efficiency, safety, and operational flow. You will utilize advanced modeling and simulation techniques to create optimal layouts, manage material flow, and ensure that new or modified facilities support strategic production goals. The ideal candidate is experienced in large-scale facility planning and adept at translating operational requirements into effective physical designs within a significant industrial hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and layout of new manufacturing facilities and the reconfiguration of existing spaces.


• Develop detailed material flow analysis and material handling system designs.


• Utilize CAD and simulation software to model and optimize facility layouts for maximum efficiency and safety.


• Collaborate with project management, operations, and construction teams throughout the facility design and implementation process.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.


• 7+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with a significant focus on facility design and layout .
