Catering Manager – Empangeni

Icebolethu is calling for suitable candidates to apply for the permanent position of a Manager for our Catering Business. The incumbent will be required to develop the Catering strategy by considering market trends, regulations and how it may translate into operational execution through alignment of core business strategic objectives to effective operations of all Catering operations to support their bottom-line performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute long-term catering strategies, drive product innovation, and lead change management to achieve business growth.
• Operations & Service Delivery: Oversee daily branch operations, ensure strict SLA adherence, and resolve client queries to deliver high customer satisfaction.
• Team Leadership & Development: Coach, mentor, and lead staff, manage performance and disciplinary actions, and build succession plans for key roles.
• Financial & Resource Efficiency: Optimize staffing models and workflow allocation to meet performance targets while minimizing unnecessary spend and overheads.
• Governance, Risk & HSE: Enforce corporate policies, mitigate operational risks, and champion strict Health, Safety, and PPE compliance for a safe workplace.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: National Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Catering, Home Economics, or related field (MBA/MBL advantageous).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Catering Management.
• Technical: Proficient in MS Office Suite.
