SUMMARY:
BRANCH MANAGER - LOGISTICS - BLOEMFONTEIN

POSITION INFO:
Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of operations at a branch, including managing staff, ensuring efficient and cost-effective distribution services, and achieving financial and operational targets whilst maintaining compliance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including inbound and outbound logistics Optimizing costs and delivery times. Implement and maintain efficient processes and systems. Analyze operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Financial Performance: Manage the branch budget and ensure cost-effectiveness Contribute to achieving financial targets for the branch. Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Investigate and resolve customer service issues. Oversee and assist with new customer onboarding. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including OSHA and any other requirements. Maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive productivity and reduce costs. Stay up to date with industry's best practices and trends. Other Duties: Establish work schedules and contract driver coverage. Interface with shared functions and other departments. Manage and control resources and risk management. Maintain existing systems, processes, and controls with continuous improvement. Ensure a positive working environment with proactive staff engagement, open door policy and effective communication. Requirements: Computer Literate, Freightware TMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express. At least 6-8 years in supervisory role in logistics operations, more specifically in freight distribution operations.
