Vehicle Spray Painter (Australia)

We are recruiting on behalf of a thriving automotive body repair business in Australia. They’re looking for skilled Vehicle Spray Painters to join their team on an Australian skilled-migration visa. They offer relocation assistance, full training, uniforms, career growth and support to bring your family (if applicable).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces: remove rough spots, sand by hand and with power sanders, and mask areas
• Apply primers and undercoats, sanding between coats
• Mix and match paint colours to manufacturer specifications
• Apply topcoats with spray guns in a controlled spray booth
• Buff, wax and polish finished paintwork to a high-gloss finish
• Do touch-ups and detailing to fix any imperfections
• Maintain spray guns, spray booths and other painting equipment
• Source the paints, tools and materials needed for each job
• Follow health and safety rules, especially when handling hazardous materials

Experience & Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Vehicle Painter or Spray Painter (Red Seal or equivalent)
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Spray Painter
• Experience with water-based paint systems and custom paintwork is highly desirable
• Valid driver’s licence
• Able to provide all documents needed to meet Australian migration requirements
• Good spoken and written English is essential
• Depending on the role and candidate, an English language test, a skills assessment and/or a practical workplace assessment may be required
