Panelbeater (Australia)

We are recruiting on behalf of an established automotive repair business in Australia. They’re looking for a skilled Panelbeater to join their team full-time on an Australian skilled-migration visa. The workshop uses modern equipment and focuses on quality workmanship and safety.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and decide on the right repair methods
• Strip and reassemble vehicle parts as needed
• Repair or replace damaged panels
• Do structural repairs, including welding and chassis alignment with hydraulic equipment
• Finish panels: dent removal, filling and sanding
• Refit panels, trims and hardware to manufacturer standards
• Prepare surfaces for painting and help with priming, colour matching and spray painting (beneficial)
• Supervise or help apprentices when needed
• Keep the work area clean and safe, following health and safety requirements

Experience & Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Automotive Body Repair (Panel Beating) or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Panelbeater in a collision repair workshop
• Strong welding, panel repair and structural alignment skills
• Valid driver’s licence
• Spray painting and paint system experience is highly beneficial
• Experience in a high-volume workshop is beneficial
• Good spoken and written English is essential
• Depending on the role and candidate, an English language test, a skills assessment and/or a practical workplace assessment may be required
