Electrical Engineer – Continuous Improvement Position Overview A well-established national organisation is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer – Continuous Improvement to provide technical expertise and support across its operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving electrical and automation systems, supporting energy-efficiency initiatives and providing technical guidance and training to relevant stakeholders. This position reports to the Souther Region Operations Manager Key Responsibilities Provide technical support relating to electrical and automation systems. Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities. Develop and support energy-management and energy-reduction initiatives. Assist with the optimisation, reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment. Provide technical guidance and training to relevant stakeholders. Support automation, PLC, instrumentation and variable-speed drive applications. Participate in and support relevant technical projects. Contribute to renewable and alternative-energy initiatives where applicable. Minimum Qualifications Candidates should hold one of the following qualifications: BTech in Electrical Engineering BEng in Electrical Engineering National Diploma in Electrical Engineering at NQF Level 6 or higher Experience Requirements A minimum of 5 years' practical experience in relevant technical environments, with exposure to areas such as: Electrical systems Industrial automation PLC systems Variable-speed drives Instrumentation Project management Advantageous Experience The following would be considered an advantage: Exposure to renewable or alternative-energy solutions. Experience in operational or production environments. Experience implementing energy-efficiency or continuous improvement initiatives.
