DAM LINING INSTALLER / PLASTIC WELDER
Location: Hartenbos, Western Cape
Contract: Seven-week fixed-term contract
Remuneration: Hourly rate based on experience, to be confirmed
Are you practical, good with your hands and comfortable working outdoors? We are looking for a Dam Lining Installer / Plastic Welder to assist with the installation of plastic liners for dams and water features on a project in Hartenbos.
Candidates with relevant plastic-welding or lining experience are encouraged to apply. Semi-skilled candidates with welding, boilermaking or fabrication experience will also be considered, with training provided to suitable applicants.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing surfaces for the installation of dam liners.
- Unroll, position, measure and cut plastic lining material.
- Prepare and join liner sections using plastic-welding equipment, according to training and instructions.
- Assist with fitting liners around edges, corners and other features.
- Inspect installed liners and seams for visible defects and assist with repairs.
- Handle materials, tools and equipment carefully.
- Work with the site team to meet installation deadlines.
- Maintain a tidy work area and follow site safety procedures.
Requirements
- Practical experience in installation, construction, welding, boilermaking or fabrication.
- Previous plastic-welding or dam-lining experience would be an advantage.
- Ability to use hand tools and take accurate measurements.
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing neat, reliable work.
- Ability to carry out the physical tasks associated with outdoor installation work.
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
- Willingness to learn plastic-lining installation and welding techniques.
- Available to work in Hartenbos for the full seven-week contract.
