IT Support Consultant - Automation Solution

About the Role
A leading technology solutions provider serving the global energy sector is seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Helpdesk Consultant to join its growing support team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to support international clients, troubleshoot business-critical software solutions, and work within a dynamic support environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering first-line technical support, resolving software-related issues, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are maintained.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical and application support to local and international customers.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software-related incidents and service requests.
• Escalate complex issues to relevant technical teams when required.
• Deliver support services in accordance with agreed service levels and quality standards.
• Support business-critical supply chain and operational software solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and resolutions.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 shift roster.
• Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Work effectively in a remote team environment while maintaining high service standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, Technical Support, or Customer Support role.
• Experience troubleshooting software applications and resolving user issues.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote-working environment.
• Reliable internet connectivity and a suitable home-office setup.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Advantageous Experience
Candidates with any of the following will have a distinct advantage:

• Exposure to terminal automation systems or specialised industry software.
• Experience within the Oil & Gas, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial sectors.
• Microsoft SQL knowledge or experience.
• SAP Logistics exposure.
• Application support experience in operational or supply chain environments.

• Applicants must hold a valid South African ID.
• Applicants must be currently residing in South Africa.
