Process Optimisation Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Analyse existing manufacturing and production processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. - Develop and implement process optimisation initiatives to improve productivity, quality and operational performance. - Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative actions. - Monitor process performance using data, KPIs and statistical analysis. - Identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime, production losses and operating costs. - Develop, review and improve process standards, procedures and work instructions. - Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering and other departments to implement process improvements. - Lead continuous improvement projects and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives. - Conduct process capability and performance studies where required. - Assist with the design and implementation of process changes, equipment improvements and automation initiatives. - Investigate recurring production problems and recommend practical engineering solutions. - Ensure optimisation projects comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental standards. - Track the effectiveness and financial impact of implemented improvements. - Prepare technical reports, process documentation and presentations for management. - Support the training and implementation of improved processes within the production environment. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - BEng/BSc/BTech in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical or Process Engineering. - 25 years' relevant experience in process engineering, process optimisation, manufacturing or continuous improvement. - Experience working within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or Continuous Improvement will be advantageous. - Good understanding of production processes, process controls and performance monitoring. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. - Experience with data analysis and process performance reporting. - Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
