Electrician - FOOD MANUFACTURING

The successful candidate will have experience in Food Manufacturing (FMCG).

Qualifications required:

• NQF Level 4 Grade 12 or Matric Equivalent
• N3 Electrical Engineering and Trade Tested Artisan
• 3 phase Installation Electrician License, MV
  switching authorized persons training

Non-Negotiable Experience/Knowledge:

• 3 + Years of experience in FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
• Experience in working on voltages from 24Vdc to 400VAC
• Experience in major brand VSDs such as Danfoss VLT, Siemens G120, Delta V series
• Experience on tracing IO on Siemens PLC's
• 3 phase Installation Electrician License, MV switching authorised persons training
• Competent on the use of measuring instruments such as multimeters & Meggers.
• SANS 10142 - 1

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment
• Perform fault finding and diagnostics on electrical breakdowns and failures
• Carry out planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and instruments
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and legal regulations
• Assist with commissioning of new equipment and modifications
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and job cards on CMMS (Computer Maintenance System)
• Competent on the use of measuring instruments such as multimeters & Meggers.
• Adhere to Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental standards
• Conduct risk assessments and follow lock out/tag out procedures
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses
• Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly
• Ensure factory compliance of electrical systems adhering to SANS 10142 - 1
