Community Outreach Program Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic outreach plans and programs to meet identified community needs.
• Manage all aspects of program implementation, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timelines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and government stakeholders.
• Supervise and guide a team of outreach workers and volunteers, providing training and support.
• Monitor and evaluate program activities, collecting data to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management and funding bodies on program progress and outcomes.
• Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Identify potential funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing efforts.
• Ensure programs are delivered in a culturally sensitive and inclusive manner.
• Advocate for the needs of the communities served by the organization.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, community outreach, or social work.
• Proven ability to develop and manage complex projects and budgets.
• Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and program evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge of the social and economic landscape of the Western Cape , particularly Stellenbosch .
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
