Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and expanding winery in the scenic region of Stellenbosch, Western Cape , is seeking a skilled Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst. This role is vital for providing critical financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving business performance. You will be involved in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, a solid understanding of financial principles, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various departments. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and variances.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
• Assist in the financial evaluation of new business opportunities and investments.
• Collaborate with department heads to gather financial data and provide analytical support.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data used for analysis.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into business trends.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes and tools.
• Support the financial close process as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, management accounting, or a related financial role.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modeling) and financial software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience in the wine or agricultural industry is a plus.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Stellenbosch, Western Cape .
