About the Role Our client, a significant player in the logistics and distribution sector, is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to manage their operations in Upington, Northern Cape . This on-site role is critical for ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of the warehouse, overseeing inventory management, order fulfillment, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, excellent organizational skills, and a proven ability to motivate and manage a warehouse team. You will be responsible for optimizing warehouse layout, implementing best practices for storage and handling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. We are looking for a hands‑on supervisor committed to operational excellence and customer satisfaction within the Northern Cape region. Your leadership will be key to the smooth operation of our Upington distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch.
• Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and training.
• Ensure efficient inventory management, accuracy, and stock control.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
• Maintain equipment and ensure operational readiness.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance productivity.
• Coordinate with transport and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within logistics and distribution.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to train and motivate a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with WMS software.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Must be able to work on-site in Upington, Northern Cape .
