About the Role
Our client, a well-established financial technology company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Developer with strong Java expertise to join their dynamic development team in Mahikeng, North West . This role is integral to designing, developing, and maintaining robust enterprise-level applications. You will be responsible for writing high-quality, efficient code, contributing to architectural decisions, and mentoring junior developers. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable enterprise applications using Java.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Develop and integrate RESTful web services.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and its associated frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and SQL.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
- Understanding of software design patterns and principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
