Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

About the Role

Our client, a leading retail analytics company, is seeking a highly analytical Senior Business Intelligence Analyst for their Nelspruit office. This on-site position is crucial for translating complex business data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. You will be responsible for developing dashboards, reports, and analytical models that empower business leaders to understand performance, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for growth. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).


• Analyze large datasets to identify key business trends, patterns, and performance drivers.


• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.


• Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business initiatives and strategic planning.


• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting and analytical outputs.


• Develop and maintain documentation for BI processes, data dictionaries, and report specifications.


• Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.


• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence and data analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.


• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or a similar role.


• Proven proficiency with leading BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.


• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.


• Experience with data modeling and database concepts.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.


• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences.


• Experience in the retail sector is a plus.


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
