Child Enrichment Program Manager

About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of child enrichment programs in Stellenbosch, Western Cape , is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Child Enrichment Program Manager. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing a variety of after-school and holiday programs aimed at fostering children's development in areas such as arts, sports, and STEM. You will be responsible for program development, staff supervision, budget management, and ensuring the safety and positive experience of all participating children. The position requires a blend of creativity, strategic planning, and operational excellence, with a hybrid work model allowing for both on-site program oversight and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute engaging enrichment programs for children of various ages.
• Recruit, train, and manage program staff and volunteers.
• Oversee program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and financial accountability.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children participating in the programs, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Market and promote programs to parents and the community.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, children, and community partners.
• Monitor program effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Manage program logistics, including scheduling, facility usage, and material procurement.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in child development and recreational programming.
• Handle administrative tasks, reporting, and record-keeping related to program operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation Management, Child Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably within a childcare or youth development setting.
• Proven experience in curriculum or program development.
• Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and budgeting abilities.
• Knowledge of child safety regulations and best practices.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
• Passion for youth development and creating positive learning experiences.
• Proficiency in standard office software and relevant program management tools.
