Remote Senior Chemical Engineer - Process Design & Simulation

Our client is a leading international engineering consultancy specializing in advanced process design and simulation. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Chemical Engineer to join our fully remote team, contributing to groundbreaking projects for clients worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and simulation of complex chemical processes from conceptualization through to detailed engineering stages.
• Develop and validate rigorous process models using industry-standard simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, UniSim).
• Perform rigorous process optimization studies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability.
• Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic assessments for new process designs and technologies.
• Prepare detailed process design packages, including PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specifications.
• Collaborate effectively with clients and internal project teams through virtual communication channels.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers working remotely.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant industry codes, standards, and client specifications.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in chemical process design and simulation.
• Expert proficiency with major process simulation software packages.
• Strong understanding of chemical thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and separation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex simulation projects and deliver high-quality results independently.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote work setting.
• Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and adept at managing time effectively in a remote environment.
• Prior experience in a consultancy role is a plus.
