Social Inclusion Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Social Inclusion Officer to join our team and contribute to initiatives that promote the integration and participation of marginalized groups within the Bloemfontein community. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere while driving significant positive change. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs and policies aimed at enhancing social inclusion for marginalized communities.
• Conduct research and analysis on issues affecting vulnerable populations, such as refugees, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and community leaders in Bloemfontein.
• Organize community events, workshops, and awareness campaigns to promote understanding and inclusion.
• Provide support and advocacy for individuals facing social exclusion.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of inclusion initiatives, reporting on progress and outcomes.
• Develop communication materials to promote the organization's inclusion agenda.
• Facilitate dialogue and collaboration among diverse community groups.
• Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing for social inclusion projects.
• Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in social inclusion and diversity.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Community Development, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in social work, community development, advocacy, or a related field focused on inclusion.
• Proven experience in project management and program implementation.
• Excellent research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated understanding of the social dynamics and challenges in Bloemfontein.
• Proficiency in using standard office software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• A passionate commitment to social justice, equality, and human rights.
• Experience in event organization and facilitation is an asset.
