About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable VR applications using Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Create engaging and intuitive user interfaces and interaction systems within VR environments.
• Optimize VR experiences for performance, frame rate, and visual fidelity across target hardware (e.g., Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, Valve Index).
• Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and product managers to translate concepts into functional and compelling VR experiences.
• Integrate complex systems, including AI, networking, and physics, into VR applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues in VR development.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in VR hardware, software, and development best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on VR development.
• Proficiency in C# (Unity) or C++ (Unreal Engine), with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with VR SDKs (e.g., OpenXR, Oculus SDK, SteamVR SDK).
• Strong understanding of 3D graphics, game development principles, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
