About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the logistics and distribution sector, is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Optimization Specialist to join their innovative team in **Randburg, Gauteng**. This critical role involves enhancing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the entire supply chain, from procurement to final delivery. You will leverage advanced analytical techniques and industrial engineering principles to design and implement strategic improvements. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of supply chain dynamics, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to drive change. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize all aspects of the supply chain, including inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve delivery times, and enhance service levels.
• Utilize supply chain modeling and simulation software to evaluate different scenarios and solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations, sales) and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
• Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance.
• Implement and manage supply chain technologies and systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management on supply chain performance and optimization projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management or optimization, with a strong focus on analytical and process improvement.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, best practices, and relevant technologies.
• Proficiency in supply chain modeling software, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL), and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience with project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is a significant advantage.
• This role requires a **hybrid** presence, with regular attendance at our **Randburg** office.
