Lead Mobile App Developer

Our client, a rapidly expanding technology solutions provider, is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Mobile App Developer to spearhead their mobile development efforts in Centurion, Gauteng, ZA . This role is instrumental in guiding the design, development, and deployment of high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. You will lead a team of skilled mobile developers, mentor junior talent, and collaborate closely with product management, UX/UI design, and backend teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of mobile development best practices, architectural patterns, and the entire app lifecycle. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader passionate about building innovative and scalable mobile solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of native iOS and Android applications.
• Architect robust, scalable, and maintainable mobile app solutions.
• Manage and mentor a team of mobile developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into intuitive user interfaces.
• Work closely with backend engineers to define and integrate APIs.

• Manage the app store submission process and ongoing updates.
• Stay current with the latest mobile technologies, trends, and platform updates.

• Drive innovation in mobile development methodologies and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mobile application development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role.
• Proven expertise in native iOS development (Swift, Objective-C) and/or native Android development (Kotlin, Java).
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC, VIPER).
• Experience with cross-platform development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter) is a plus.
• Proficiency with mobile development tools, including Xcode, Android Studio, and version control systems (Git).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.
• Solid understanding of the mobile app lifecycle, app store submission guidelines, and performance optimization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
