About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement firm-wide BIM strategies, standards, and protocols.
• Lead and manage BIM project execution plans for complex architectural projects.
• Coordinate BIM models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) to identify and resolve clashes.
• Provide technical leadership and training to BIM coordinators and architectural staff.
• Oversee the development of content libraries and templates for BIM software.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define BIM requirements and deliverables.
• Ensure the accurate and efficient use of BIM for design documentation, visualization, and analysis.
• Stay abreast of the latest BIM technologies and best practices, recommending enhancements to workflows.
• Contribute to architectural design development where required, leveraging BIM capabilities.

Requirements

• Professional Architect qualification (e.g., PrArch) or equivalent architectural degree with extensive BIM focus.
• A minimum of 10 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years specifically in a BIM leadership or coordination role.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing BIM standards and workflows.
• Strong understanding of the construction lifecycle and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Dynamo or other visual scripting tools for automation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with various project delivery methods and their impact on BIM implementation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to **Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal**.
