Draftsperson

We're looking for an experienced, detail-driven Draftsperson to join our Infrastructure team in Mossel Bay on a permanent basis.

You'll turn engineers' and technologists' designs into accurate, standards-compliant structural and civil drawings while working closely with a multidisciplinary technical team.

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings for infrastructure projects.
• Produce and update construction, tender and as-built drawings.
• Incorporate engineers' and technologists' designs and technical instructions into drawings.
• Coordinate drawings with other disciplines and identify potential clashes or discrepancies.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control.
• Assist with site measurements, inspections and updating drawings based on site conditions.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards, specifications and client requirements.
• Provide drafting support to engineers, project managers and the broader technical team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Engineering-related qualification.
• Relevant courses or training will be advantageous.
• Professional registration will be an added advantage.

Years of Relevant Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' relevant drafting experience, ideally on civil and structural projects.

Technical Skills / Software Required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Civil Designer.
• Experience with Civil 3D will be advantageous.

Soft Skills and Cultural Fit

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
• Enthusiasm for improving drawing standards.
• Discipline to deliver quality work within set deadlines.
