Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive environmental sanitation programs for the campus.

- Oversee waste management systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting recycling initiatives.
- Manage pest control programs and ensure their effectiveness and safety.
- Train and guide janitorial staff on proper sanitation techniques, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities, inspection findings, training sessions, and corrective actions taken.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in environmental sanitation, health regulations, and sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with campus health services, facilities management, and other relevant departments to ensure integrated health and safety efforts.
- Respond to and manage sanitation-related emergencies and outbreaks effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental health, sanitation management, or a similar role, preferably within an institutional setting in Mahikeng or similar.
- Thorough knowledge of sanitation principles, public health standards, and environmental regulations.
- Experience with waste management and pest control strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and implement solutions.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to train and supervise personnel.
- Familiarity with hybrid work environments and ability to coordinate effectively.
