Junior Industrial Engineer - Process Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior industrial engineers in analyzing current production and operational processes.
• Support the design and documentation of new process flows and work instructions.
• Collect and organize data related to process performance, efficiency, and waste.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings focused on operational improvements.
• Conduct basic time studies and process observations.
• Help in the implementation of small-scale process improvements under supervision.
• Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving tools.
• Assist in developing reports and presentations on process analysis findings.
• Contribute to maintaining process documentation and records.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of industrial engineering principles, including process analysis, workflow optimization, and lean concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data management.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards taking on new tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Familiarity with CAD software or process simulation tools is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel to the Mahikeng, North West facility as needed.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
