Sales Manager [Manufacturing/Plastics sector/EE role]

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager [EE role] for their Durban (Pinetown) plastics manufacturing plant

This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the General Manager and is ideally suited to a candidate with a strong background in manufacturing, particularly within the plastics manufacturing industry.

Package

• Total Guaranteed Cost to Company (TGCOE): R90,000 per month
• Cell Phone Allowance: R1,500 per month
• Car Allowance: R6,500 per month
• Petrol Card

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market share.
• Manage and mentor the sales team to ensure high performance.
• Work closely with production and operational teams to align customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide regular sales forecasts, market intelligence, and performance reporting to the General Manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in a Sales Manager role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of plastic manufacturing processes and products.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
• Must be currently residing in Durban.

Additional Requirements

• Senior-level candidate with the maturity and experience required to engage at executive level.
• Age: 35 years and older.
• Must be able to travel locally and nationally when required.
