The successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in and support the primary goals and objectives of the Faculty and the Department in pursuit of this vision and strategic objective.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the various sub-disciplines and modules that constitute Procedural Law (Criminal Procedure and Law of Evidence).
• Supervise postgraduate students, in their dissertations and theses.
• Conduct and publish research in local, international, accredited journals, book chapters, books and monographs in the field of Procedural Law.
• Take on administrative and committee roles within the Faculty Law and Department of Procedural Law, the broader University of Johannesburg (UJ) when called upon.
• Play a role of mentor to emerging staff in the Faculty of Law and the Department of Procedural Law.
• Attract and sustain fundraising initiatives and strategies to advance teaching and research scholarship.
• Participate in community engagement initiatives to advance societal engagement and impact.
