Our client, a leading global bank expanding its footprint in Namibia, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead the charge in crafting and executing a robust risk management framework. This pivotal role is your chance to make a lasting impact by safeguarding the bank against financial, operational, and market risks while steering the organization toward sustainable growth.Key Responsibilities : Architect and Lead : Develop and implement a world-class Country Risk Management Framework aligned with global standards.Strategic Partner : Align the bank's risk profile with profitability and return objectives, ensuring sustainable success.Policy Guru : Articulate and communicate comprehensive risk management policies and strategies.Risk Oversight : Establish systems, processes, and infrastructure for effective risk identification, management, control, and reportingpliance Champion : Ensure strict adherence to local policies, regulations, and risk tolerance limits across all business entities.Team Leader : Inspire and develop the risk management team, fostering a culture of excellence and commitment to the banks core values.Performance Monitor : Manage the risk divisions budget and monitor the overall risk profile to support the bank's business goals.Strategic Advisor : Provide guidance to achieve both short- and medium-term organizational objectives while delivering regular updates to key stakeholders.Who You Are : A seasoned professional with a BTech Degree (or equivalent). A Masters Degree is an advantage.A proven leader with at least 10+ years of experience in risk management, including at least 8 years in banking and 5 years in senior management roles.Deeply knowledgeable in risk management practices, regulatory compliance, and financial regulations.An exceptional communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Holder of advanced qualifications in Risk Management, Finance, or Economics (e.g., CFA, FRM).Proficient in policy development, financial acumen, and industry best practices.A Namibian citizen or permanent resident ready to make a difference.Ready to Take the Leap?
