Purpose Of The Job
Securing the usages of tobacco's with the quality as defined by PMPSA in the blends, according to the Budget Blend Formulea (BBF) of Leonard Dingler (LD). Manage the procurement and logistics of LD yearly Leaf Purchase Plan (LPP) requirements. Oversee LD's unmanufactured leaf inventories to ensure that the tobacco received and shipped to manufacturing adheres to quality expectations, and that the tobacco is stored according to all applicable warehousing standards. Act as the leaf representative, providing expertise and support to both local Operations and Regional Leaf functions. Note : Please be noted that this is not a managerial role. If you join us, you will perform as single contributor.
Principal Accountabilities
- Conduct quality inspections on the incoming tobacco's that will be used in the blends produced at LD
- Inspect all incoming tobaccos to ensure quality meets expectations
- Update Lot Reception Module in WLS (Worldwide Leaf System) in accordance with tobacco inspections and receiving records
- Update all tobacco inspections in Fulcrum and LRM (Lot Reception Module / Leaf Portal)
- Issue all tobacco inspection requirements to leaf warehouse service provider
- Quality liaison with LD Primary on issues of product not meeting expectations
- Liaison with Product Development and Regional Leaf on quality parameters and projections
- Perform all BUBD (Best Used Before Date) inspections for LD
- Blend Maintanance
- Maintain the blends at LD on a lot level accoording to the Budget Blend formulea
- Run the monthly prediction cycle and publisch when inventory and deliveries are sequired
- Ensure proper management of inventory and take appropriate actions to prevent stock ruptures and ensure availability of leaf, following PMI blending principles, Quality system requirements and standards.
- Create and follow up on Non-conformities
- Create and maitain specifications in PLM / Clipp
- Participate in relevant stakeholder meetings
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in leaf related issues with other stakeholders
- SAP & WLS Management
- Leaf Material Master creation and extensions to plants
- Create and manage 3rd party supplier Purchase Orders (Leaf)
- Create and manage intercompany Purchase Orders (Leaf)
- Create and manage Stock Transport Orders (STO’s) and Goods Receipt accuracy (Leaf)
- Update payment & transport screens in WLS
- Create and manage all 3rd party service providers in Coupa (warehousing, fumigation, etc.)
- Communicate business requirements to internal counterparts (Finance, Taxation, IS, PMI Tolling)
- Operations Finance Support
- RBH Balance Sheet Forecasts (OB & LRP, RF updates)
- RBH Cash Flow Forecasts
- Intercompany Purchases (OB &LRP, RF updates)
- 3rd Party Purchases (OB & LRP, RF updates)
- Ministry of Finance (MoF) monthly leaf movements
- Compliance with PMI Best Practises – Packed Leaf Procurement
- Support Quarterly Inventory counts / audits
- Support reporting for leaf costs / budget
- Warehouse Management
- Lead the annual FM Global warehouse audit and rectify any non-conforming issues (upon request)
- Lead & / or participate in any warehouse quality audits to ensure compliance with PMI’s protocols and procedures
- Train 3rd party warehouse staff in all PMI related procedures regarding packed leaf; and issue updated PMI documentation as applicable
- Manage documentation for compliance with all records retention and governmental policies
- Manage all on-site leaf disposal / destructions in accordance with PMI and government policies
- Lead and communicate the leaf warehouse pest management program
- Manage the overall scope of fumigation activities; activities completed by 3rd party service providers
- Identify and reconcile any inventory discrepancies
- Communicate and implement any cost avoidance opportunities
- Manage MLI (Monthly Leaf Inventories) updates to ensure accuracy of figures for local & global purchase plan alignment
- Liaison with LD functional departments as it relates to Leaf (Primary, P Dev, Finance, Tax, etc.)
- Supervise the on-site day to day activities
Skills and Competencies
Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or any related backgroundsAt least 2 years of experience in below areas or related fields : Production, Process Engineer / Quality Engineer, Quality assurance, Product Developing, Warehouse operations, Research and laboratory experience (plant), Experience in multinational environment, food or tobacco industry is preferredTechnical skills : Research, inventory management, Quality assurance / control, material management, project management, planning skillsSystem knowledge : SAP, CoupaHave knowledge of MS Office, advanced Excel skills, Power-BI would be an assetProficiency in English both spoken and writtenHave analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management skillsSeniority Level
