JOB PURPOSE
Engen, part of the Vivo Energy group, is seeking a dynamic Head – Wholesale to lead our Wholesale business strategy and operations. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable growth, maximizing profitability, and ensuring effective management of national resources through Wholesale accounts.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum : NQF Level 7 (Degree in Engineering, International Commercial, or Maritime).
- Experience : 8 years in Sales & Marketing management.
- 5 years in leadership roles influencing senior management.
- Advantageous : Experience in Depot Management, Commercial Fuels, Retail, or Wholesale.
VALUE CREATION
Develop and implement plans aimed at maximising value extraction from Wholesale customers by ensuring the Wholesale business are termed to avoid exposure and risk by taking ownership and control of all aspects of the business that impacts the income statements.WHOLESALE SALES STRATEGY & PRICING
Develop wholesale sales strategy by understanding customer needs, understand all the aspects that impact supply and pricing and proactively execute sales and pricing decisions by ensuring they are within General Manager plan constraints to deliver sustainable growth & to maximize profit.BUSINESS PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT
Design the Strategic direction for the Wholesale business by regular reviews of market trends and intelligence and with the intent to grow the sustainable E3M business.CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPs
Build and promote productive, long-lasting customer relationships through partnering and understanding their needs to create and maintain sustainable Wholesale business.CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
Build a sustainable and profitable Wholesale business by ensuring that the sales team term up supply with to the wholesale business with take or pay contractual agreements.CAPABILITY MANAGEMENT
Engage in talent, staff development and resource management to ensure competency levels are maintained to deliver quality skill thereby meeting the capability requirementsSeniority level
