We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrician to join the Facilities & Maintenance team, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations across the property. The successful candidate will supervise and mentor junior electricians, carry out installation and repair works, and ensure compliance with safety standards while supporting hotel operations.
Critical Criteria (Requirements)
- NQF Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Trade, or currently enrolled in an apprenticeship / learnership program
- Electrical Trade Theory qualification (completed or in progress)
- 23 years experience in a technical or electrical support role, preferably within hotels or commercial buildings
- Previous exposure to hospitality or large facility maintenance advantageous
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and willingness to mentor junior staff
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- South African citizen with a valid ID

Duties & Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, lighting, plug circuits, and fixtures across the propertyConduct routine inspections of distribution boards, panels, and electrical components, replacing lamps or fittings as requiredTroubleshoot electrical faults and implement safe, effective repairsMentor and supervise junior electricians or apprentices, sharing knowledge on wiring diagrams, layouts, and troubleshooting techniquesAssist with Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules and tasksMaintain a neat, organized workspace; ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly and safelyUpdate job cards, logbooks, and task records using CMMS or internal systems under supervisionIdentify hazards or potential faults and report them promptly to managementPromote a culture of safety, continuous learning, and operational excellenceUphold the hotels values of Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Passion, and IntegrityImportant Application Notes
