As Head : Treasury, you will drive the formulation and execution of a cost-effective funding strategy, oversee asset and liability management, and manage relationships with lenders and rating agencies. Working at the heart of financial decision-making, you will guide liquidity planning, funding structures, market risk insights, and compliance with Treasury and PFMA requirements. What You’ll Do
- Lead the development of a cost-effective funding strategy aligned to the corporate plan.
- Coordinate the execution of Board-approved funding plans.
- Develop and manage funding, hedging, and risk-mitigation structures.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and protect organisational financial health.
- Implement sound Treasury policies, frameworks, and accounting practices.
- Advise on market risks, interest rate structures, and financial implications.
- Act as an authorised dealer, executing informed and compliant decisions.
- Manage liquidity across short-, medium- and long-term horizons.
- Secure and maintain adequate credit facilities and trading lines.
- Support forex-related requirements within relevant exchange control frameworks.
- Oversee counterparty reviews, balance sheet management, and strategic funding models.
What You Bring
10–12 years’ Treasury or Investment Banking experience within complex environments.At least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.Experience within a Development Finance Institution advantageous.In-depth knowledge of capital markets, funding tools, and associated risks.Strong understanding of PFMA, Exchange Control, and Treasury regulations.Experience in credit rating processes and asset-liability management.Proficiency in Treasury systems (Quantum, Bloomberg) and funds transfer pricing.Relevant postgraduate qualification in Accounting or Finance; CA(SA), CFA or MBA advantageous.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial insight capabilities.What Success Looks Like
