Duties & Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :
A Professor is expected to contribute to the teaching effort of the institution and carry out activities to maintain and develop his / her professional activities to the profession or discipline. An academic at this level is also expected to play a major role in scholarship, research and / or professional activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Prepare and deliver lectures and seminars on marketing management to undergraduate / postgraduate students.
Supervision of the program of study of honours students or of postgraduate students engaged in course work.
Conduct research and publish findings in respected national and international journals (IBSS / Scopus / ISI).
Development of course material with appropriate advice from and support of more senior employees.
Initiate, develop, register and present community engagement projects that focus on work-integrated learning, community research, and outreach.
Participate in the school’s and faculty’s management structures.

The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
