About the Role
As Finance and Governance Manager, you will deliver a professional, strategic financial service to support sustainable performance. From budgeting and forecasting to statutory compliance and audit preparation, you’ll oversee the full finance function while ensuring governance structures are sound, compliant, and forward-looking.
You’ll work closely with the CFO and Group Shared Services to embed robust financial controls, manage risk, and deliver timely analysis that drives informed decisions. This is a role that blends hands-on management with strategic oversight—ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a purpose-driven environment.

What You’ll Do
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Review and strengthen internal financial controls and policies.
Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage cash flow, capital expenditure, and banking functions.
Oversee year-end processes and coordinate audits (IFRS for SMEs).
Ensure statutory, accreditation, and governance compliance (OHS, EE, Skills, SETA, SARS).
Manage supplier and contract frameworks across leases, projects, and SLAs.
Collaborate with Group Shared Services to maintain accurate, complete accounting records.
Provide financial modelling and commercial insight to guide decision-making.
Support continuous improvement in systems, reporting, and efficiency.
What You Bring
Degree in Accounting or Finance; SAICA / ACCA articles advantageous.
10+ years’ experience in financial management, including leadership.
Strong working knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
Advanced Excel and solid understanding of financial software systems.
Proven experience in governance, compliance, and risk management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High ethical standards, accuracy, and resilience under pressure.
Ability to translate data into insight and action.
