Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Manager.
MINIMUM REQUUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- 10 years’ experience in management of a maintenance department
- Proven track record of discipline
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop the Maintenance Strategy and ensure implementationProvide leadership and manage the Maintenance Function and TeamsAnalyse and interpret Planned Maintenance Reports (Hours per department, hours per Artisan, etc.)Analyse and interpret Breakdown Reports (Manufacturing downtime, top-10, etc.)Diagnose plant and equipment problems (fault finding) and identify opportunities to modify, upgrade, improve or replace equipment and sparesCompile and manage the Preventive Maintenance Programme according to the maintenance requirements for machines and equipmentApprove Stores Requisition for spares and consumablesProject Initiation :
Contribute to project initiation, scope definition and scope change controlParticipate in the estimation and preparation of cost budget for a project or sub project and monitor and control actual cost against budgetProject Planning :Schedule project activities to facilitate effective project executionMonitor, evaluate and communicate project schedulesProject Management :
Manage implementation of Engineering ProjectSupport the project environment and activities to deliver project objectivesContribute to the management of project risk within own field of expertiseIdentify, suggest and implement corrective actions to improve quality of project workEvaluate and improve the project team's performanceKeep up to date with latest developments / technologies in MaintenanceBenchmark Maintenance practices against Best PracticesIdentify areas for improvementDevelop and implement continuous improvement interventionsAnalyse Maintenance Reports and identify opportunities for improvementsEnsure an enabling climate / cultureParticipate in the implementation and utilisation of equity related processesCompile and update Performance Contracts and Individual Development Plans and facilitate individual career path planningConduct Performance Reviews and manage sub-standard performance
