Position Summary
A world-renowned cardiothoracic surgeon is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Practice Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the practice, including administrative tasks and patient care standards.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and professional standards.
- Manage scheduling and coordination of operations, including theatre lists for three hospitals where the surgeon operates.
- Liaise with various medical aids and coordinate patient billing, invoicing, and accounting references.
- Schedule appointments for patients and manage the Medical Professional's time.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrators to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and under pressure.
- Operate professionally, dependably, and independently with a focus on output.
- Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards and apply them in daily practice.
- Perform personal errands on behalf of the Medical Professional as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of five years' experience within a similar medical working environment.Valid driver's license.Ability to work on the Altron Elixir Live Programme.Fluent in English and Afrikaans.Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to liaise with medical aids and coordinate multiple hospital operations.Salary, Hours & Workplace
