We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Vehicle Repair Estimator / Evaluator to lead the end-to-end repair process across our national fleet. In this role, your top priorities will be to minimize vehicle downtime, control and reduce repair costs, and maintain high-quality repair standards. You’ll ensure that every vehicle is evaluated accurately and repaired efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the standard our customers expect.
You’ll also play a key role in managing supplier relationships , driving accountability, and ensuring consistent performance across our repair network.

THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE :
A valid Matric / Grade 12 certificate WITH proven experience in panel shop estimating or a similar role focused on automotive repair cost evaluation
Solid understanding of vehicle repair processes , including parts sourcing and industry-standard labour costing, AND strong negotiation skills , especially when dealing with panel shops and suppliers
High attention to detail with excellent documentation skills (e.g., generating job cards, conducting quality checks)
A valid driver’s licence (non-negotiable)
Own reliable vehicle or reliable transport to commute to and from work without difficulty
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE :
Repair cost estimation & supplier negotiation
Source accurate repair quotes and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective, high-quality repair outcomes.
Parts validation & logistics coordination
Verify required parts, manage procurement timelines, and track ETAs to avoid repair delays.
Repair quality assurance
Conduct thorough post-repair inspections to ensure all work meets internal quality and safety standards.
Structural damage oversight
Manage the complete dispatch and return process for structurally damaged vehicles, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
Administrative & process management
Create detailed job cards, monitor repair progress, and maintain accurate records of downtime and completion timelines.
